Hoboken NJ is a city that borders the Hudson River, at the east end of the New Jersey Palisades opposite New York City. According to the 2010 United States Census, Hoboken's population was 50,005.



You can visit many historic homes in Hoboken's beautiful Historic District. The Stevens House Museum features Victorian-era furnishings and period clothing need to be seen! The house itself dates back to 1760, with various expansions built up through time. You can also visit historic churches like St Peter's Episcopal Church which has been serving Hoboken since 1853. St Peter's was the only church to remain open during the Great Depression and was a refuge for newly arrived immigrants who had come into Hoboken during this time.



Hoboken has been home to many famous people including Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, Francis Albertanti (Frankie Valli of The Four Seasons), President Woodrow Wilson, Marlon Brando, Tina Fey, and Mike Trout.




Hoboken Public Schools are part of the Hoboken Public Schools district. There are five public elementary schools (K-5) in the city; Hoboken Elementary School, Kennedy Elementary School, Conover Street Elementary School, Ferrer Elementary school, and Stevens Cooperative school. There is one middle school for grades 6-8, Hoboken Middle School. The students of Hoboken High School (HHS) are divided into two houses, Snyder and Emerson. Snyder house is named after Abram J. Snyder; Emerson House is named after Ralph Waldo Emerson.




Hoboken has an active youth sports community including baseball, soccer, football, basketball, wrestling, sailing, lacrosse and many more.




Hoboken has a number of parks for recreation including Pier A Park, Frank Sinatra Park, Legion Park and Maxwell Place Park to name a few. The waterfront is lined with piers for easy access to the Hudson River. There are also community gardens available for rent depending on availability and location.




Hoboken is also home to the Stevens Institute of Technology.

The school was founded in 1870 and is one of the oldest technological universities in America. In 1904, Thomas Edison was on campus to help dedicate a new lab for electrochemical research. The public high school located on the property is called Hoboken High School.




There are a number of museums in the city including the Hoboken Museum, which highlights artifacts from 19th and 20th century Hoboken residents. The museum also has a large vintage toy collection! There is also the Stevens archival collections that includes letters, photos and other documents from Hudson County residents.




For sports fans you can visit the Frank Sinatra Park that holds a number of events throughout the year. You can visit this park for any sporting event including soccer, baseball and softball games.




Hoboken is also home to many places of interest like Maxwell's Tavern, New York Waterway ferry terminal, Union Dry Dock & Repair Co Inc., Hoboken Historical Museum, Stevens Institute of Technology and Pier A Park.

According to Triplemint, Hoboken's total home sales rose by 18% over the course of two years, from August 2020 through August 2021. Last month saw 179 homes sold in Jersey City, which is an increase of 26% compared to the previous year. When it comes to real estate, Hudson County has always been one to keep an eye on.
